Historic Location: The reception hall of the Grand Ballroom in the Redouten Wing of the Vienna Hofburg Palace.

Paganini performed his first concert in Vienna at the Hofburg in 1828. In the mid-1800's Empress Maria Theresa (mother of Marie Antoinette) had the 17th Century Baroque period Opera House converted to the ballrooms & concert halls later known as the Redoutensäle, named for the elegant masked ball events which would be held in the Palace. As tastes changed over time the massive rooms were refurbished - this is Hofburg Redouten Hall in 1910.
