This late 19th century carved stone bust made of "Grisaglia' in Italian, a mix of stone powder and lime stones, depicts Marcus Aurelius Caracalla, the roman emperor from 198 to 217 AD. The handsome figure is dressed in Greco-Roman attire with a toga draped across the chest and a cartiglio on his shoulder. This traditional Roman style bust would be a wonderful addition to any home or outdoor setting to add an elegant vintage feel.

The bust features a wonderful original patina and slight moss growth throughout the piece.
